Essential Oils for Glowing Skin
The average woman puts 515 synthetic chemicals on her body every day.
And 60% of what we put onto our skin is absorbed into our bodies.
Sadly this contributes to the prevalence of thyroid issues, hormonal imbalances, toxic overload, disease etc. that so many women suffer with.
And did you know... we are exposed to more toxins in 30 days than our grandparents were in their entire life time!
I remember feeling overwhelmed when I wanted to start reducing my toxic load but didn't know where to start.
What helped me was taking baby steps. I started to replace a few things at a time.
Around this time of feeling ready to ditch the excess toxic chemicals, I had really dove into essential oils. I originally started using them to help me with my sleep issues + digestion but learned quickly that I could replace all of my skin regimen and house cleaning products with therapeutic-grade essential oils.
I noticed a difference in my skin within the first 2 weeks of using them: they helped even out my skin tone, my complexion was brighter, pores small, and my skin was g l o w i n g.
Essential oils that are therapeutic-grade such as doTERRA are safe support for the skin (our largest organ) and go through strict 3rd party testing to ensure there are no chemicals, fillers, or synthetics, etc. (there’s no governing body for essential oils so companies can put whatever they want in their bottles and label them “pure”)
They are powerfully concentrated so all you need is 1-2 drops per application.
Some facts to consider from EWG:
Artificial fragrances (found in 90% of products) can include any 3,000 synthetic chemicals, including potential hormone disruptors, neurotoxins, and phthalates. They can cause depression, hyperactivity, and irritability.
81% of body care products marked “gentle” or “hypoallergenic” contain ingredients PROVEN to irritate skin, eyes, or allergies.
More than 500 products sold in the US contain ingredients banned in Japan, Europe or Canada.
22% of personal care products may be contaminated with cancer causing impurity 1,4-dioxane.
There’s no labeling requirements for Phthalates, found in perfumes, lotions, and soaps.
Studies show they can damage the liver, kidneys, and reproductive systems. Mount Sinai Medical Center links phthlate exposure and childhood obesity.

I love applying my essential oils to my skin with doTERRA’s fractionated coconut oil. It is a super light weigh geel and for all skin types.
You could also use argan oil, jojoba or almond oil (has a little bit of a heavier feel)
